The original Night Timber X 1.2m combined the STOL capabilities of the Timber 1.5m models with unique features to deliver 3D aerobatic capabilities – along with high-visibility LED lights throughout the airframe for flying all day AND all night! Now the updated and upgraded E-flite Night Timber X Evolution 1.2m adds the most requested features including a top-mounted hatch for easier and faster battery changes, stronger main landing gear mounts and heavy-duty springs, combined connectors for simpler wing installation and removal, plus many more to make it more durable, convenient, and capable than ever. That makes it a perfect choice for intermediate to experienced pilots looking for a unique blend of STOL, aerobatic, and night flying capabilities you can’t get with any other model!

E-flite Night Timber X Evolution 1.2m Overview
The E-flite Timber X 1.2m unleashed a new era of STOL plus 3D and aerobatic capability. Based on the extremely popular Timber 1.5m models but featuring a different wing design and oversized control surfaces, it offered an even wider flight envelope to deliver a truly "mild to wild" flying experience. In addition to the standard LED landing, navigation, and strobe lights, the Night Timber X Evolution 1.2m adds integrated high-visibility LED lights throughout the airframe that make it possible to fly pretty much any time – day OR night! It also features many updates and upgrades compared to the original Night Timber X including a top hatch for faster, easier battery changes, plus combined connectors for simpler wing installation and removal. Strengthened landing gear mounts, along with heavier-duty springs similar to the Twin Timber 1.6m, improve the durability and STOL capability when flying from rough terrain.

Both versions are equipped with updated and more reliable metal-geared servos, a 3S and 4S 2200–3200mAh compatible motor with a new and stronger mounting design, and a higher-capacity 70-amp Spektrum Avian Smart Lite ESC. The BNF Basic version is equipped with a factory-installed AR631+ receiver featuring exclusive and enhanced AS3X+ along with optional-use SAFE Select technologies. The receiver also delivers real-time telemetry including overall battery voltage, current, and more to compatible transmitters – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – plus motor/thrust reversing for special ground handling and other capabilities. Hollow-core EPO construction with composite reinforcement results in a lightweight yet strong airframe that makes it capable of handling extreme aerobatic manoeuvres while keeping the wing loading low for impressive Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) and slow flight performance. You can even install the included leading edge slats for improved slow flight performance, or the optional floats (sold separately) so you can fly from water all day AND all night too!

Skill Level 2 – Some Experience Required
Skill Level 2 aircraft, like this one, are suitable for RC pilots who already have some experience and the skills to assemble, set up, and fly similar class models. You should have the experience and skills necessary to successfully fly models like the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Valiant 1.2m, Commander mPd 1.4m, Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5m, or other similar class models before attempting to fly the Night Timber X Evolution 1.2m BNF Basic version.

eXtra LED Lights
Embedded throughout the airframe are factory-installed LED lights that make it possible to fly all day AND all night, too! They're conveniently powered by the 3S or 4S 2200–3200mAh flight battery and can easily be disconnected when flying in daylight conditions. Plus, just like other Timbers, the Night Timber X Evolution 1.2m is also equipped with realistic-looking LED landing, navigation and strobe lights.

STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) Capable
The wing design has a shorter span yet almost as much wing area as the Timber 1.5m models, plus it features drooped wingtips and can be equipped with the included optional-use leading edge slats for improved slow flight and STOL performance. These features, along with the lightweight design, oversized flaps and high-power brushless power system, make it possible to spring into the air or float down to land in as little as two feet or less.
