The HPI Mini Recon is the perfect 1/18th scale fun package!
Made from extremely tough composite material, the Mini Recon is nearly indestructible. Its powerful 370-size motor accelerates the Mini Recon to incredible top speeds and plenty of fun!
The Mini Recon comes as a true RTR package with absolutely everything you need to get going, including: HPI TF-40 radio set, 7.2V NiMH battery, charger and even AA batteries for the transmitter! Everything you need to play with your friends is included in the box!
You won't have to worry about radio crystals or what channel other RC racers are using with our 2.4GHz technology - the radio does all that work for you! The radio prevents frequency conflicts automatically and changes channels if there is any interference. Finally, if you ever lose radio signal or battery power, an electronic failsafe will bring it to a safe and controlled stop. You'll have professional-level control in one easy RTR package!
Complete Ready-To-Run package - Factory pre-assembled including absolutely everything you need! Assembled chassis, pre-painted body, radio gear, 7.2v battery, overnight charger, 4AA batteries
Painted bodyshell - Pre-finished and trimmed bodyshell, fully finished from factory with applied decals
2.4GHz radio system - HPI 3 channel 2.4GHz pistol-grip design radio system for supreme control and confidence
RSC-18 electronic speed controller - The High Frequency forward and reverse RSC-18 ESC provides all the power and control you'll need for the Mini Recon
RM-18 high torque motor - High torque brushed motor gives the recon great performance both on and off the road
Fun littel car but the motor gets very hot so I would recommend a heatsink. the shocks are very brittle and need the alu ones BAD!! parts also have alot of flexibility in them so it jump steers a LOT!!

What a truck! I love it, so much fun and alot faster then I thought! Battery lasts a very long time too I didn't expect that out of 1100mah but I suppose it is a small truck!
So underestimated! Been jumping it in the garden dougnuting in the living room it's solid still in one piece! Unlike my other models It works everytime I switch it on and runs perfect I love the styling and the controller! Everyone needs one of these trucks! So fun for when it's raining outside, unleash the mini recon! MS!

Very nice little model. Tough enough for bashing in the garden. I like it very much

This is a quick little car, but I have only used it round the house and already, I have had to rebuild 3 of the shocks and tighten the differentials front and rear. only this morning I managed to pop the steering servo off the arm. This may have been to my driving but when I had my Blackfoot all those years ago I never had to rebuild or maintain it as much as this thing, it requires a lot of maintenance to keep it running at its best! But it is an entry level car. 3 stars for this from me

Great little truck to get started in R/C, BUT the front and rear differentials realy let the whole package down, Both of mine started slipping within a week (Running it around my garden), HPI recomend tightning them but that only solved the problem for a couple of hours and the parts are very expensive.
On the plus side, The rest of the truck seems nearly indestructble and its super fast for such a small car.
I really love it, But it'll sit on a shelf broken unless HPI bring out better diff's

This is a great little car! Ideal for messing around in the garden but no good indoors as its to big. Iv had mine for a few weeks now and iv only broken a plastic pinion gear.
All in all I would recomend this to anyone

Exellent little truck. got it for my son to get into rc cars and he loves it, takes jumps well and is very quick for its size. Only downside so far is one of the shocks fell apart while on tarmack, steering went abit haywire. anyway a bit of superglue and fresh oil sorted that out and it hasn't spoilt the fun my son is having.
