After much development work, HoBao and CML Distribution are pleased to release the new HyperStar UK Edition 1/8th Off Road buggy. The new HyperStar successfully tested and run throughout the winter months by team drivers, comes race ready for UK style grass and astro turf venues. Subtle changes to the general specification make the UK Edition more suited to UK tracks and venues over the worldwide version.

The all-new front pivot ball suspension is far more forgiving through bumps and during cornering, allowing drivers to push harder and faster than before without mistakes. Caster adjustment can be made quick and simply with space adjustment, while roll bars have been updated front and rear. Suspension mounts feature improved toe-in adjustment inserts and plates for better reliability. 

The new HyperStar main chassis features milled out sections for weight saving, with nylon chassis braces being chosen over aluminium for a more forgiving set-up. The radio plate now features additional servo protection with moulded pieces to avoid servo case damage and comes standard with the latest radio box featuring easy access to receiver, battery and personal transponder. PSM upright engine mount is included as standard, along with the electric Hyper 9 bodyshell, which can be trimmed and painted to suit individual tastes. The one-piece rear wing is swapped for the standard style wing mount assembly and HoBao's cool high downforce wing.

Transmission uses the tried and trusted standard Hyper 9 differentials front through to back rather than mixing with the heavier spider diffs. New centre line universal driveshafts connect power front to back. The centre diff assembly now features a splash protection cover for the front disc brake and pads are now ceramic for longer life, while the rear disc is also better protected with a new cover that also clamps over the rear chassis brace for better strength.

20mm big bore shocks front and rear feature one-piece aluminium caps over stock plastic versions and feature improved mounting for better reliability and maintenance.
